The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show
Role: Touring Light and Sound Technician
Key Responsibilities:
During a five-month period in 2024, I managed all light and sound operations for The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show as it toured 27 venues throughout the UK and Ireland. My responsibilities included coordinating with each venue prior to load-ins, developing bespoke lighting plans, overseeing the technical installation of the show in each venue (including lighting focus and audio tuning) and reprogramming the show as required. Show operation included executing both light and sound cues, as well as mixing microphones for the four cast members. The lighting for the show was consistently controlled via EOS across all venues, while sound engineering involved working with a variety of consoles including Allen & Heath, Yamaha, DigiCo, MIDAS, and both digital and analogue systems.
